We all know those people.  Everything looks amazing on the outside.  They dress in designer clothes, talk about how awesome their lives are and are the first ones people are shocked about when their lives hit bottom.    It has taken me a long time not to be fooled by the pretty package.   Some people mix up their reality and get so caught up, they actually believe what they are presenting others.  They were the people that I thought had it all.  However, we never know what goes on behind closed doors.

This holds true for what people say and do.  If their words don’t meet their actions, my antenna goes up and I am instantly wary. I tend to be overly trusting of what someone tells me.  That isn’t a bad thing, but when it is consistent that actions and words aren’t matching, then I need to question the trustworthiness of those individuals.

My instincts are sharper today and I need something more substantial than the pretty package.  My attraction are the wonderfully, authentic individuals who proudly display their warts and all.  It is a reassurance to me that if they trust me not to put on a show, then they are worthy of my trust.  Life is already a challenge, I prefer not to waste my time on a fictional story.   Fiction is fine on the pages of a novel, but not for the real world.
