I close the year with no regrets.   Everything I tried, learned, or experienced, comes with a disclaimer.   The disclaimer states, “Simply take a leap of faith.  The only risk is that you allow fear to stand in your way.”  So, I take a chance.   If I don’t take risks, then I am subject to regrets.   It took a long time for me to realize that in order to move forward, I need to take chances.  I compare  it to a board game.  Rolling the dice in anticipation of where my game piece will land.  Success isn’t rolled up in a job title or what type of car I drive, but instead, it is the summation of gambling on experiences.   It might not turn out as I planned.  Hell, it might be a complete bust, but there are the moments when I experience something even better.

The holiday season is magical, but so is life, if you allow it to be. Simply showing up with an attitude of gratitude in any given situation opens the door to the unexpected.  I choose to live my life in anticipation of the next great blessing.
