Footprints

I am often reminded not to dwell in the past, however, my story dictates that I be reflective of the past as it has provided me with many lessons.   My past experiences are the footprints that have led me to the present and will continue to ease me into the future.   However, it is important for me to understand that the past doesn’t define me, instead it molds me into the person that I want to be.

I think one of the greatest accomplishments is feeling that you have lived the life you have always wanted even with the rough patches and uncertainty that comes with being human.  My life is shaped by my own choices and accentuated by the presence of beautiful souls who enrich my life.

My footprints lead me to experiences that teach me, although it is important not to walk backwards, but to trudge ahead to continue writing my story.
