I have made no secret of the choice that I made a couple of years ago to rid myself of toxicity.   It wasn’t a decision made lightly, but something that needed to happen for me to expand.   I have carried that practice ever since then to alleviate those relationships that no longer serve a purpose.

While on this journey, I have had new insights to confirm how on target my decision has been.  I am grateful that I am paying attention to the warning signs that my body exudes when dealing in a potential harmful relationship.    Giving myself permission to walk away is a large part of my growth.   I can’t be concerned over other people’s opinions or their being uncomfortable with the change.   Life is too short to continue to dwell with people who aren’t empowering.   Not everyone has the same heart as me.  As I continue to move forward, I realize that all of the decisions are a direct result of my change – my continued evolution to be the best version of me.

I have gotten to a place where I am more compassionate in my reflection of past relationships that have simply disappeared.    That wasn’t always the case, but as time passes, so does my intolerance.    Free of drama and distrust, I am liberated.    The process was difficult, but the results are powerful.
