I cast my vote and I now turn it over to whatever is suppose to happen.  I am powerless.  While this election is historical in nature for a variety of reasons, it is the first election that I can ever remember where I am scared……on both sides.    I know, I know……I probably just offended some people, but I really don’t care.  You see, my expectations are realistic as we are in trouble no matter who wins.

Our country is in turmoil.  No matter who grabs the presidency, they inherit the residue that accompanies this chaotic, indecisive situation that currently blankets us.  The person that wins actually loses because our future rides on the assumption that someone is going to show up and do their job minus their own personal agenda.   That is a pretty tall order to fill.

So, after I voted, I went and bought a shit load of comfort foods to temporarily offer me solace.  It isn’t a long term solution, but just for today, it will be enough.    I will accept and pray for the winner even if they aren’t the one I voted for because when it comes down to it, we are Americans first which unites us even if we disagree.

Even if I live in the world of acceptance, it doesn’t mean I like it, it just means that I have done all I can do and the next right thing is to find a way to live with the situation.   That is what I hope we all can remember. Sadly, my expectations are realistic in the aspect that regardless of the outcome, fear will cause some to react, berate, and bully.   So, my friends, prayer is all we really have at this point, so I am casting my vote for God as well.
