It feels like I have been gone such a long time. So funny how alluding time is and that it plays tricks with my mind. I love coming home. Creating a life that I long to come back to marks a successful fifty years of craftsmanship. The trip was amazing and in the next several blogs, I will share some of my experiences. You can’t walk in the footprints of those who were persecuted during the Holocaust and not come back different. It was eye-opening. Nothing you read in the history books compares with the personal encounter. It was powerful. It was emotional. Most of all, it was informative.
I am up at 5:40 in the morning writing this. Actually I have been up since 2 am, since the delightful six hour time difference is interfering with my reentry. That is to be expected. But, I am productive. Doing laundry, paying bills, and writing my blog. Immersing myself back into reality. Processing my experience and trying to craft a way to share it with all of you, so that you see the landscape that I did. For now, I will stumble to the coffee maker and hope that caffeine with help me navigate the day.
