So, it has been a while since I have touched the keys to my computer.  Taking a hiatus from the norm is always therapeutic.   Trust me, there are many stories to tell from this vacation.  Family togetherness can bring out the best and worst in people.

I have always said that you don’t need a vacation to escape the life that you have created.  If your life is wonderful, then the break you take simply reinforces that reality.  That is exactly how I view the wonderful experience with my family the last ten days.  It wasn’t perfect.   Imagine the only female in a confined ship cabin with smelly adult men.  However, I wouldn’t change it for the world.  The days are limited in Bryce being with us, so this was an opportunity to celebrate our unit.   Even with all of our flaws, we are a delightful unit.

In the next few days, I will share some humorous experiences and lather my readers with a lot of parental reflections as we charter some interesting territory.

Thank you for being patient with my absence.  I promise the week will be full of new and laughable situations.
