When I started my blog nine years ago, I had no idea that it would ever be anything other than me simply sharing my thoughts and experiences. Honestly, there were only a few people (friends mostly) that took the time to read it. Everything needs a starting point.
Fast forward, to 2019 where I have roughly two million people who take the time to read my blog. Christ on a cracker, that is mind-blowing!! Seriously, I can’t even comprehend that what I have to write is relevant. I have always said that when I compose my blogs, it is really for me. It’s like having a diary that everyone has the key to. It’s therapeutic. But, what I am finding is that somehow what I am sharing is tangible. People relate. My words have an impact. Holy shit, that is both scary and humbling.
I think the most amazing part of this journey for me, are the individuals from around the world that check in on a daily basis. Seriously, I am up early in the morning, guzzling my coffee, while I am trying to string words together that somehow make sense. Nothing earth-shattering. Just me sharing pieces of my life. Putting my authentic voice to the test.
I guess the whole point of today’s blog is to thank you. Thank you for sharing some of your day with me. Thank you for taking the time to write a comment or perhaps share my blog with others. Thank you for laughing with me (or at me….no judgement). Thank you for accepting me even if you think I am a little crazy, inappropriate, or perhaps you don’t agree with me. You all have helped me walk through grief, uncertainty, fear, and ridiculous situations which makes me utter the words, “you can’t make this shit up”. I am humbled and I am grateful.
