Square Peg ● Round Hole

Brian’s phone died yesterday. He tried to resuscitate it through various suggestions he found online. Unfortunately, it was dead on arrival. RIP, two month old phone. This unfortunate occurrence led him to our neighborhood Verizon store to seek out a solution. Trapped in his grief over the loss of his BFF, he wasn’t overly happy with the lack of compassion from the gentleman who waited on him. You see, they were only willing to replace it with a refurbished phone. The guy was SUPER helpful. (Please used a voice that is dripping in sarcasm when you read that line.) He suggested that my spouse call Samsung directly, if he isn’t pleased with a refurbished phone. Oh, and his “new” phone won’t be delivered to our home until Tuesday. Please take a moment of silence and send him some prayers. Bless. His. Heart.

Fortunately, his contacts and mine mysteriously merged when I purchased my new phone last year. He was thrilled to say the least since, he doesn’t know anyone’s number. I can totally relate. Oh, and I suppose I will be acting as his secretary, since the only way to reach him is through me. Joy.

I jokingly asked if he needed to be admitted to the hospital to aid in his withdrawal symptoms. So, far the shaking has subsided. I think he is going to make it. The good news is that the guy figured out how we can save $13 on our bill. There are always pockets of blessings even in the darkest of times.
