Let me tell you about my terrifying situation that happened yesterday. (Taking a deep breath, as this is so difficult to share.) When I write my blog, it automatically links to several social media platforms. This is an excellent way for me to improve traffic and I am making a little dough along the way. A few weeks ago, one of my social media platforms would no longer accept my blog indicating that they felt it was linked to spam. I sent an inquiry to them, and within, twenty-four hours it was resolved. Thank you, Jesus. I shouldn’t have gotten too comfortable because nothing could prepare me for yesterday.

Sunday, I received the same message regarding my blog. I, again, sent an inquiry regarding the issue thinking that the glitch would be fixed. I was not prepared for what happened next. (“You can do this, girl.” This my inner dialogue being supportive.) I received an email saying that, “We blocked this website because it violates our Spam Policy. Unfortunately, we won’t be removing this website from our block list.” Before I could even digest that little bit of information, I received another email that my account has been suspended. What? I felt like some sort of bad ass. But, doesn’t a bad ass know what they did? I am a good Catholic girl. “Good” might be pushing it. Let’s go for, I am a reasonably acceptable Catholic girl. Rule follower. Consciousness for the most part. I LOVE JESUS!!! Bottom line….I don’t have a clue what I did wrong.

I appealed it. Anxious because this platform is the gateway to my blog. Most of my readership comes from them. Yesterday, I had 100 people who read my latest post. By the way, thank you. I value you. But, I normally have 500 plus a day. Sometimes more. This morning, I woke up to find another email from them. I wondered if there was anything else they could do to me. Blackball me from the internet? I felt like I was on the internet version of the “no fly list”. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I have been reinstated with the reminder to refer to their policies, which, by the way, are as clear as mud. Whatever. I am back in business. Hoping I don’t inadvertently do something else to piss off the social media platform gods.

People, I just want to write my blog without interruption. Is that too much to ask for? And, I am protecting the name of said platform so I don’t get reprimanded again. I really love the segue they provide, so I am giving them a big virtual hug with maybe the middle finger behind my back. Told you I was a reasonably acceptable Catholic girl, right?
