Woah, what a week! Between interviews, and last minute preparations for the release of Her Turn, I am depleted, but in a very good way. I haven’t had this much going on since before some bitchy virus took us all hostage. My expectations of launch day were very low key. Just another day with people buying and reading my book. Not biggie, right? Wrong. My home currently looks like a florist from all the gorgeous flowers delivered to celebrate the release. My social media has been flooded with images of my book arriving at people’s homes. Sweet. Baby. Jesus. Oh, and my phone was pinging off the hook with congratulations text messages. Wow!
But, even with all the fanfare, I am still me. Crazy. Unfiltered. Me. Yesterday, I had some errands to run that took extra long because I forgot where I was going. True story. I drove around my neighborhood twice until I remembered that I was headed to the post office. Winning. I suppose my brain was a tad scrabbled because it was overwhelmed by so many factors or quite possibly I am just not grounded in the present. Don’t worry, I did eventually find my way home. It just took longer than usual. I had to laugh at myself because otherwise, I might be concerned about my limited sanity.
Today, is a new day where I need to get back to work on my second book. For those of you who are reading, Her Turn, the second book is Nina’s story and I am so excited to share it with you. Until then, happy reading! Thank you for all of your support and encouragement. You know, if would have been nice if you all had been in the car with me yesterday reminding me where I was going, but I get it, you were super busy reading.
