Did you all miss me? I have been a bit MIA and I would love to have an elaborate excuse as to why, but all I can say is life happened. Actually, middle-age happened. Anybody got a white flag? Here is the rundown.. allergy treatments where my ENT would like to do surgery to correct a significant obstruction, and a recent diagnose of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. I am currently waving to my middle-age situation with a double middle-finger salute.

I opted out of the sinus surgery in order to try a more conservative approach and I am currently being treated for the vertigo which has helped considerably. I feel like I should get some sort of commendation for making it to this age, but instead there seems to be penalties everywhere. Look, I am not complaining. I mean, I don’t enjoy the tea cup ride at Disney on a typical day, so having the room spin periodically does not bring me joy. The allergy stuff will hopefully ease up with my allergy drops, nasals sprays, and prayers. My sinuses seem to be very angry and honestly, I feel like I have given them a great life. They are seemingly ungrateful.

This is life on life’s terms. Living in the gratitude that both of these are treatable and that despite this bump in the road, I am a vibrant, delightful middle-age woman full of sass and sarcasm. These two diagnosis don’t define me. Sure, right now if I were to be asked to do a field sobriety test, I might fail, but other than that, all is well.

While I have been head first into doctor’s visits and adding more medication to my expanding pharmacy, I managed to secure the release of my new book, My Turn. It’s a second chance romance with all the humor, surprises, and a guaranteed HEA. I am literally dizzy with excitement. Book release is slated for March 14 and pre-orders are available now. Cue exaggerated jazz hands.

This just shows that there are ALWAYS pockets of blessings despite the chaos that floats around us. I just have to remember that.
