I’m not sure why I am surprised that my gorgeous German Shepherd is a unicorn. I seem to attract special nuggets who are marching to their own drummer.

After two weeks of her manic tail chasing, I was referred to a specialist. A specialist because NO ONE else has a clue as to what is going on. One threw Prozac at it. Super helpful. Not. Yesterday, I found myself at the dermatologist hoping that she has a magic wand to solve this mystery that is Myla. While we waited, we entertained ourselves with a selfie session. My girl loves a good selfie and is working tirelessly perfecting her duck lips.

The dermatologist was awesome and thrilled that I was already working on eliminating some of the foods that we think might be part of the issue. However, her tail chasing might be neuropathy which would require a neurologist to be added to our team. Jesus take the wheel.

Just like the diva that she is, her symptoms are presenting themselves differently than most dogs. We are starting a round of allergy meds along with ear drops to clear up her infection that apparently never got better. Her displeasure regarding this adventure was made clear by the destruction of her car crate. Get a German Shepherd, they said. It will be fun, they said.

This morning, I was greeted with Luna vomiting on the comforter. Nice. Not to be outshined, Myla started barking because she has diarrhea. A lovely side affect from her allergy meds. By the way, this all started at 2:30. Clearly, my dogs are out to get me. Attempted to put her eardrops in, which ended with a WWE match. I lost, but the way. Looks like I will need Brian’s help with that. Anyway, if anyone needs me, I will be drinking a truck load of coffee waving a white flag.
