At this point in 2026, I feel like I am involved with a poorly produced reality show. To be fair, most are poorly produced but not many can provide such confusion, annoyance, and anger than the one we are currently living in. I am going to be honest, what we are experiencing now isn’t political. It is an attempt to suffocate human compassion, tolerance, and inclusivity. What if we took back our power? What if we decided to simply be the type of light in a world that is struggling in the dark? That is where I am currently residing.
We all know people who voted for the current administration. And while, I hate to write about the political circus currently in play, I feel like it needs to be said. I will not be silent on the state of our world. It is just too scary. The world right now is a lot. It is perfectly normal to be in a state of discomfort. For me, it is all about service. Volunteering has been a lifeline that allows me to be perfectly present. No distractions. Just spending time with beautiful souls while walking them home. That humbles me. Hosparus has been an eye-opening experience that allows me to just show up and be of service.
I struggle to understand how some of the people I love could buy into this shit show. How can you vote for an individual who is striving to minimize certain groups of people? How can you trust an individual who lies so effortlessly? How can you believe in a leader who degrades people especially those with special needs? How do you embrace a child rapist? I just don’t get it.
You can be angry. You can be disgusted. You can be bewildered. We simply can’t allow this darkness to dim our light.
