It’s a beautiful morning in the state of Kentucky. The election is over and we can move on to something less offensive like the holidays or Taylor Swift’s NFL boyfriend. (I’m not making fun of Taylor Swift. I just want to make that clear because that mob called the Swifties are no joke. Did you see what they did to Kanye’s career? Yikes.) Anyway, we can move on from using Biblical verses for political gain and jump right into the holiday frenzy. Yippee!!
I am still over here living my best life. Over the last three weeks, I have become more proficient on my mode of transportation aka my crutches. I’m not saying that I am an expert because I am not. Similar to my aversion to high heels, crutches are quickly becoming my nemesis. I would love to say that I made them my bitch, but there is too much evidence to the contrary. The “fallen and I can’t get up” has become my mantra. While I would love to share that my dogs are natural rescuers, I can’t. Most of the time they look down at me while I am spread out on the floor with a questionable look on their faces.
I will not be going on tour doing tricks on crutches. If anything, I will be lucky to make it through the next three weeks of non-weight bearing. The struggle is real. My scooter is an option, but when I ride it, i tend to hear the music from The Wizard of Oz when the Wicked WItch of the West was riding her bike. It just isn’t appealing. I might be getting antsy or bored. Being a human pogo stick is exhausting and I can’t wait for be a two legged creature once again. In the meantime, I will be over here decorating my mums for the Christmas season.
